About

Ariel and Ryan Fortenberry met while in USA Archery’s Resident Athlete (RA) Program, living and training full time at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. They were training to make the 2016 Olympic Team. Ariel became an RA right after graduating high school, moving to California in 2012. Ryan did so in 2014, after graduating from Texas A&M University, where he picked up Olympic Recurve and competed on the archery team. After being knocked out of Olympic Trials, they left the Olympic Training Center with Ryan moving back to San Antonio, TX and Ariel attending Texas A&M and competing on the archery team. They married in 2019. Ariel joined USA Archery’s Regional Elite Program (REP) as an Assistant Coach for the South Region in 2021. Ryan did the same in 2023, eventually being named Head Coach in 2025. Ryan and Ariel launched Execution Archery in 2026 to bring their experience and expertise to the rest of the archery community through collaborative camps.
